Group Financial Controller, Warwickshire
£75,000 - £90,000 pa + Benefits
Are you ready for the challenge of helping to steer this Tech based client through a period of significant change?
The last 5 years have seen a couple of changes of ownership, bringing with it changes to strategies, processes and systems. Now under the ownership of an entrepreneurial, ambitious, dynamic global group, it's an exciting time with a clear vision for growth.
Your role:
Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and include:
- Lead, manage and motivate the UK Finance department to deliver a first-class service to the business and external stakeholders
- Management of all Group Statutory reporting and Tax Compliance
- Prepare consolidated management accounts, providing periodic regional information for group/external stakeholders
- Preparation of quarterly group consolidations, including inter-company account reconciliations
- Ensuring full HMRC compliance
- Compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards
- Preparation of the consolidated rolling 26-week cash flow forecasts to help manage group liquidity with facility limits
- Assist the CFO with the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial projections
- Support the ongoing development of the business management systems, developing process, procedure and workflow documentation
- Presentation of management account packs/dashboards to the board
- Develop intercompany relationships to champion the value that finance brings to the wider business and offer education to business managers on financial matters to aid better decision making
About you
You will be a strong Financial/Technical accountant, ideally having spent some time in an Audit/Financial Accounting background. An ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience and a proven track record in guiding and motivating a finance team. Previous IFRS experience is essential, whilst exposure to all matters regarding US GAAP and Sarbanes Ox would be highly advantageous too.
Previous experience in a tech environment would be great, but equally appealing would be any experience of working in a start-up/scale-up business, especially a “Project” focused environment. You’ll be a natural influencer with an aptitude for building credibility with your peers and a passion for building a team that delivers over and above expectations.
This is a great opportunity to join our Warwickshire-based client during this period of restructuring. A fantastic opportunity to use your technical expertise and passion for driving change to help the group achieve their ambitious but achievable ambitions.
Sound like your kind of challenge? If you meet (or better still exceed) the criteria above, we would love to tell you more about their journey.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss your interest further.
