As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance department, handling a variety of responsibilities including:
- Managing the Accounts Payable ledger and processing payments to suppliers
- Overseeing Credit Control, conducting credit checks on new clients, monitoring Experian for early warning signs, reporting concerns to the leadership team
- Billing clients and resolving month-end queries related to costs, income, and invoices
- Conducting monthly P&L reviews to assess costs
- Supporting the external payroll processing service
- Managing credit card and expense control
Working directly with the Finance Manager, you’ll likely have opportunities to expand your role over time.
To be considered, you should:
- Ideally, be AAT qualified or working towards the latter stages
- Have experience using cloud-based accounting systems; knowledge of Xero and Dext is highly desirable
- Possess experience in a fast-paced, multi-transactional environment
- Be confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, as daily interaction with various teams is key
