In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of communications campaigns across multiple channels and take responsibility for our clients PR and media strategy. You will work with a passionate team to generate impactful communication campaigns and demonstrate their value to society while delivering influence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating communications campaigns to support organisational visions and values
- Leading the production of lively and compelling copy for campaigns across all channels including press releases, web content, social media, emails, newsletters, blog posts and other channels
- Leading content development for the website as the organisation’s key communications tool
- Leading the development of creative video campaigns that help drive engagement and support communications objectives
- Taking responsibility for PR and media strategy, identifying opportunities to maximise PR and media coverage
- Cultivating productive relationships with media outlets, journalists, senior members, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Monitoring and measuring the impact of communications campaigns, making recommendations for improving campaign effectiveness and implementing agreed changes
You will have a degree in public relations/communications or a related discipline and hold professional membership of CIPR or CIM, or a recognised qualification in PR/communications. You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a communications role, a sound understanding of press office activity, and press release distribution mechanisms. Strong digital marketing skills and experience in producing creative digital content, as well as experience in using mainstream social media networks is also necessary.
Your copy-writing skills and proof-reading ability will be of a demonstratable, high-quality standard and you will be able to explain technical/specialist matters in a way that a non-specialist can readily understand, as well as have an appreciation of the tone of voice required to target policymakers and influencers.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in the UK with a starting salary of up to £31,000 pa with the flexibility of working from home.
