This position offers the flexibility of working anywhere between 32 - 40 hours per week, enabling you to achieve some welcome flexibility in work-life balance.
Your Role:
As a Purchase Ledger Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the purchase ledger function of our client's finance department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Process and reconcile purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Ensuring authorisation of purchase invoices before payment processing
- Administration of employee expenses
- Month-end cash book reconciliations
- Liaise with suppliers, the immediate team, management, and other stakeholders to address queries and resolve payment-related matters
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller and other team members to improve processes and efficiency within the purchase ledger function
- Take ownership of the role and demonstrate leadership qualities in driving the success of the department
- Provide support to the wider finance team as required including ad-hoc purchasing activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role, with a strong understanding of relevant processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office suite, training will be offered on the in-house system
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with internal and external stakeholders, as well as build strong relationships with suppliers
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- A commitment to accuracy and delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
